  11. I have placed a new software product on my PC that requires DCD to go
  12. high before going into TTY mode to log onto the server. My problem is
  13. that my I/O card does not seem to be passing the DCD info from the
  14. modem to the system(I think). I have checked continuity on pin 8 (DCD)
  15. on my 25pin to 25pin connector and pin 8 from the external connector
  16. to pin 1 on the I/O board so I "assume" that the change in DCD state
  17. is making it to the I/O board. I have watched the "modem lights" via a
  18. windows app named modemsta.exe. This software does display my SD/RD
  19. state changes, However CTS always stays high even when I send an AT&R2
  20. which instructs my modem to have CTS follow DCD, and DCD always stays
  21. low even when the real modem light indicates that carrier has been
  22. detected. I feel that my I/O board is not translating these line
  23. states into line information but as I am largely ignorant of the
  24. passing of this info to the cpu I would appreciate any help.
